There’s a couple changes to the pie baking schedule for this week I posted last week. Here’s where I’ll be this week:
Thursday: Beechview Farmers Market, 3:30-7:30pm, St. Catherine of Siena parking lot, Broadway Ave. & Belasco St.,
Friday: Cranberry Farmers Market: 3:30-6pm, 2525 Rochester Rd (Municipal Building)
Saturday: Farmers at the Firehouse (Strip District), 8am-1pm, Bar Marco, 2216 Penn Ave
Note: There will be no Fox Chapel Farmers Market this week due to road closures (there’s a PGA golf tournament across the street from the market). It’ll be back up and running next week.
Last week went better than I could have hoped for! I was on TV twice (both times on KDKA: http://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/video/8998556-pitsburgh-pie-guys-perfect-crust-tips/), sold the vast majority of my pies at four different markets, and spread the word of pie to the good people of Pittsburgh! I baked a bunch of strawberry pies with a few red raspberry guys towards the end of the week. This week strawberry are just petering out, so I’ll have red raspberry to keep the local fruit in my pies. I’ll also have chocolate pecan and apple so people don’t start flipping my stand table…so don’t worry! This week I’ll have a little variety! Speaking of variety, I’m gonna start doing mini pies regularly. Everyday I’ll have 10″ pies ($20), 5″ mini pies ($6), and individual slices ($3) available for sale. I’ll also have pie bark (50¢ per bag, 75¢ for pie bark coated in nuts) and sampling! See you guys at the market this week!
