Howdy Pie fans,

We’ll be at our regular haunts until the end of the farmers market season.  Downtown has given us a spot until that market ends, so check us out in Market Square every Thursday until it’s too cold to walk around outside.

Also this weekend:

Saturday October 12th – Anthropolgie Farmers Market, Bakery Square – 1pm to 4pm

I’m tempted to make some joke about not being square, but I’ll spare you if you come out and buy some pie!

Later,

Pie Guy

We got so busy getting started this week we forgot to post anything!

For those of you checking in to see what is going on with pies and stuff:

Friday is the PDP Night Market.

Saturday we will take the rest of the pie to the strip at our usual spot, if there is any left.

Easy as Pie,

Pie Guy

Pie fans!

There’s some new and exciting things happening in the PPG world this week – for the first time, we’ll be providing some mini meat pies at DJ’s Butcher Block in Bloomfield (4623 Liberty Ave). They’ll be available in the cooler to take home and warm up. Every week we’ll make different meat pies, ranging from chicken pot pie to English pork pie, steak mushroom and ale pie, and lamb curry pies. You can find them there starting Wednesday of this week!

And don’t forget we’ll have sweet pies on the regular down at Dobra Tea in Squirrel Hill starting this Wednesday. So if you need your pie fix and miss me at the market, head down for a cup of delicious tea and a slice of pie (and be sure to have a seat on the floor cushions at the low tables – you’ll feel just like you’re in Morocco!).

Here’s the market schedule to get some of those delicious fruit and pecan pies:

Wed. 9/11: Fox Chapel, Farmers Market, Shady Side Academy, 423 Fox Chapel Rd, 3:00-6:00p

Fri. 9/12: North Side, Farmers Market, East Commons Park (Cedar Ave & East Ohio St), 3:30-7:30p

Sat. 9/14: Strip District, Farmers at the Firehouse, Penn Ave, between 22nd & 23rd St, 8:00a-1:00p

Flavors this week: apple, peach, chocolate pecan. Some flavors to look forward to in the coming weeks will be sweet potato, butter nut squash, and pumpkin as the weather gets chillier and the pumpkin patches ripen!

Howdy,

Our schedule this week is as follows:

Thursday 8/22: pies will be at the market square farmers market – 23 Market Pl, Market Square. 10:00am to 2:00pm. Come downtown and get some pie during your lunch or, if you’re like me, for breakfast.

Friday 8/23: pies will be at the northside farmers market.  It’s in the East Commons Park along Cedar avenue. 3:30pm to 7:30pm.

Saturday 8/24: pies will be in the strip district near the parking lot for Bar Marco.  Our time there is based on how fast we sell our pie, so get there early and we can hook you up.  With pie.  For money.  It’s Math.

See you Pie Cowboy,

Pie Guy

Pie Fans!

Last week was great! The Garfield Night Market was a huge success (in general and for us)….so good, in fact, that I didn’t go to the Strip District the next day (sorry to anyone who was looking for me there! I’ll be there this week!). Here’s my schedule this week:

Wed. 8/7: Fox Chapel, Farmers Market, Shady Side Academy, 423 Fox Chapel Rd, 3pm-6pm

Thur, 8/8: Beechview, Broadway & Belasco, St Catherine of Siena’s parking lot, 3:30-7:30p

Fri. 8/9: North Side, Farmers Market, East Commons Park (Cedar Ave & East Ohio St), 3:30pm-7:30pm

Sat. 8/10: Strip District, Farmers at the Firehouse, Penn Ave, between 22nd & 23rd St, 8am-1pm

This week I’ll feature four different fruit pies: blackberry, peach, blueberry, aaaaaand rhubarb! Don’t ask me how they did it, but the boys at Freedom Farms in Butler managed to grow some in August. It’s ripe and delicious, so for all of you who keep asking for it, YES, I’ll have rhubarb pie. Expect a mixed fruit pies, too!

See you out there this week. Get hungry for pie!
